What are we learning today?

You will ask simple questions about things that happened in the past.

Explanation

• A yes/no question starts with did: Did your team win?
• A short answer is: Yes, I did. or No, they didn't.
• To get more information, use a question word: What, Who, Where, When, How many.
• The pattern is: question word + did + subject + verb.
• After did, use the base verb, with no -ed.

Examples

1. Did you go to the football match last night?
2. What did you wear to the game?
3. How many goals did we score?
