Understanding a Longer Story

What are we learning today?

You will understand who, where and what happened in a longer conversation or story.

Explanation

• A longer talk is like a small story.
• Listen for question words: Who? Where? How many?
• Listen for the answers.
• Sequence words show the order: at first, then, after, finally.

Examples

1. Tom's team, the Lions, played the Tigers. They scored 20 points and won.
2. Tom went with his friend Kevin.
3. Rachel fell off the board a lot. After a few tries, she learned how to do it.
