Might, May and Could

What are we learning today?

You will use "might", "may" and "could" to say that something is possible.

Explanation

• "Might", "may" and "could" mean "maybe". You are not sure.
• Use the verb without "to" after them. Do not add -s.
• For the negative, use "might not" or "may not".
• "Will" means you are sure.

Examples

1. She might win a medal.
2. It may rain tomorrow, so we could play indoors.
3. He might not come to the match.

Remember!

• Say "she might win", not "she mights win".
• Do not use "to" after "may".
