You will join your sentences with simple linking words. Your paragraph will be easy to read.

Explanation

• Use then or after that to show what comes next.
• Use and or also to add more information.
• Use but to show a difference.
• Use because to give a reason.
• Do not use too many then in a row.

Examples

1. She trains for two hours and then she has a big breakfast.
2. She is small but she is strong.
3. He trains every day because he wants to win.

• Choose the linking word that fits your idea.
• But shows a difference. And does not.
