What are we learning today?

You will understand instructions that come in steps. You will know what to do first, next and last.

Explanation

• Look at the verb at the beginning of each instruction.
• Common verbs are match, listen, check, repeat, read, write, choose, find, and copy and complete.
• Sequence words help you: first, then, after that, finally.
• Do the steps in order.
• If you do not understand, ask a question.

Examples

1. Match the pictures. Then listen, check and repeat.
2. First open your book, then read the text, after that answer the questions.
3. Can you repeat, please?

Remember!

• Finish step 1 before step 2.
• Work with a partner when the instruction says so.
