Setting Learning Goals

What are we learning today?

You will learn how to use feedback to make a small goal for your English.

Explanation

• Feedback tells you how well you did a task.
• You can get it from a teacher, a partner or a checklist.
• First, check your work. Count your mistakes in each task.
• Then find the weak point.
• Then write a goal. Use I can and I can't.
• A good goal is short. It is about one skill. You can check it.

Examples

1. I can write sentences with can. I can't use object pronouns yet.
2. My goal: I will do the pronoun task again.
3. A partner says, "You forgot a capital letter." My goal: I will check my capital letters.

Remember!

• Check your work first, then set a goal.
• "Be better at everything" is too big.
