Finding Facts in a Text

What are we learning today?

You will learn to find exact facts in a short text about people.

Explanation

• Specific information answers questions like who, where, how many and when.
• First, underline the key words in the question.
• Then look for the same words or numbers in the text.
• Copy the exact fact.
• Check that the fact is about the right person.

Examples

1. How many brothers and sisters has Damien got? - Fourteen.
2. How old is David? - He is 20.
3. When did the song Julia become a hit? - In 1989.

Remember!

• Do not answer from memory. Look at the text.
• Do not mix up names, for example Damien and David.
