What are we learning today?

You will learn to spell plurals and verbs with he, she and it correctly.

Explanation

• Add -s to make most plurals: cat, cats.
• Some plurals are special: fish stays fish, sheep stays sheep, and leaf becomes leaves.
• With he, she and it, add -s to the verb: walk, walks.
• After -ch, -sh, -ss, -x and -o, add -es: teach, teaches.
• After a consonant and y, change y to i and add -es: study, studies.
• After you write a word, read it slowly in syllables.

Examples

1. I can see two fish and twenty sheep.
2. Giraffes eat leaves.
3. She watches TV. He studies every day.

Remember!

• We do not say "fishes" or "sheeps".
• We say "leaves", not "leafs".
