Words and Patterns

What are we learning today?

You will use words and sentence patterns for the classroom, dates and countries.

Explanation

• Classroom words: bag, board, book, desk, dictionary, notebook, pen, pencil, pencil sharpener, ruler.
• To say where something is, use on, in, behind or next to.
• For dates, use days and months. Write them with capital letters: Friday, September.
• For countries, say the country and then the nationality.
• Spell every word correctly.

Examples

1. Where's the dictionary? It's on the bookshelf.
2. The day after Thursday is Friday.
3. Sofia is from Spain. She's Spanish.

Remember!

• Country: I'm from Russia. Nationality: I'm Russian.
• Say new words in a sentence.
