Evaluating and Answering Feedback

What are we learning today?

You will learn how to decide if feedback is good and how to answer it.

Explanation

• Feedback is what other people say about your work.
• Listen to it. Do not argue.
• Good feedback is specific and kind. It shows you how to improve.
• Then you answer. Say thank you and try again.
• If you disagree, be polite and give a reason from the text.

Examples

1. "Your voice is too quiet." Answer: "Thank you, I will read it louder."
2. "Your dialogue has no feelings." Answer: "I will add words that show anger or excitement."
3. "I thought she was sad, not angry, because her mouth trembles."

Remember!

• "Good" or "bad" alone is not helpful feedback.
• After feedback, improve your work.
