Respecting Different Opinions

You will learn how to listen to other opinions and answer them politely.

Explanation

Respecting an opinion means you listen to it. You do not laugh at the idea. You can disagree with an opinion, but not with the person. Always give a reason with your opinion. Use "because". Different people have different ideas. That is normal.

Examples

1. I see your point, but I prefer to wear a uniform because it saves time.
2. Some people think homework is useful. Others say that it takes too much time.
3. In my opinion, cheating is bad because it is not honest.

Remember!

• Do not say "You are wrong." Say "I see your point, but ..." and give a reason.
• Listen and do not interrupt.
