What are we learning today?

You will learn how to disagree politely and respect other people's ideas.

Explanation

• People want different things from a holiday.
• One plan does not fit everyone.
• Use polite phrases: "I'm not sure I agree.", "Maybe, but I also think ...", "I suppose you're right." and "What's your opinion?"
• Give a reason. Do not give orders. Do not say "You are wrong!"
• Look for a compromise. A compromise is a solution that both sides accept.

Examples

1. I'm not sure I agree. I think younger children enjoy playing with their friends.
2. I'd prefer the mountains because I like walking.
3. You like the sea, I like the mountains. Let's go to a lake with mountains.

• Never laugh at an idea. Talk about it.
