What are we learning today?

You will learn to spell job words and some word endings correctly.

Explanation

• Write "astronaut" and "firefighter" as one word. Write "police officer" as two words.
• Add -ness to an adjective to make a noun: sad, sadness.
• If an adjective ends in -y, change y to i: happy, happiness.
• Past simple: verbs ending in -e add -d (like, liked).
• Consonant + y changes to -ied (study, studied). A short vowel + one consonant doubles it (stop, stopped).
