Understanding Instructions

What are we learning today?

You will learn to read classroom instructions and do the task correctly.

Explanation

• Read the whole instruction first.
• Underline the verb.
• Look at the example and do the first item with your teacher if you are not sure.
• Read small details such as "more than once".
• Some words in a box may need a different form.

Examples

1. "Match the photos with the words in the box." Join each photo with its word.
2. "Mark the sentences with a tick or a cross." Use a tick for "Do this" and a cross for "Don't do this".
3. "Rewrite the sentences." Write each sentence again with a change.

Remember!

• Do not copy the example. Do the task.
• "Complete" and "rewrite" are different tasks.
