What are we learning today?

You will learn how to find specific information in a short text on your own.

Explanation

• Look for the key word in the text.
• Read the sentences around it.
• Underline a number or a name.
• Check the unit: km, m or hectares.
• Do not answer from memory. Check the text.

Examples

1. A hotel in Africa is not in Europe. A hotel with no electricity has no TV.
2. Mount Talgar is 4,973 m high.
3. The singing sand dunes are 150 m high.

Remember!

• Do not mix up similar numbers, like 150 and 137.
• Do not mix up metres and kilometres.
