Using Will

What are we learning today?

You will learn to use "will" for predictions, promises and offers.

Explanation

Use will or won't and the verb without "to". The short form is 'll.

• A prediction says what you think will happen.
• A promise says what you will do.
• An offer says that you will help.
• Ask a question like this: "Will you help me?" Answer: "Yes, I will." or "No, I won't."

Examples

1. I hope he'll get better soon.
2. I'll call you.
3. Don't worry. I'll carry your bag.

Remember!

• Subject + will + base verb.
• Do not use "to" after will.
