What are we learning today?

You will say what holiday you like and give a reason.

Explanation

• Use I like, I'd like to or I'd prefer to say your opinion.
• Always add a reason with because.
• Other useful phrases: I think ..., It sounds great, It sounds boring.
• To make a suggestion, ask: What about going to Italy?
• I like means you enjoy it. I'd like to means you want it.

Examples

1. I like the tree house because it is exciting.
2. I'd like to try snowboarding, but I can't. There are no mountains here.
3. I'd prefer not to go to summer camp.
4. I'd prefer a beach holiday because I love swimming.

Remember!

• Give a reason. An opinion with no reason is not enough.
• Say "I'd like to try". Do not say "I'd like going".
