Comparing Opinions

What are we learning today?

You will collect different opinions, compare them and make a conclusion.

Explanation

• Write down each opinion and the reason for it.
• Find what is the same and what is different.
• Then make a conclusion.
• "I disagree" shows that you have a different opinion.
• Use "because" to give a reason.
• Use "but" to show a different opinion.

Examples

1. I wouldn't like to be a snake catcher because I'm frightened of snakes.
2. I disagree. That's a really exciting job and you can help people.
3. Most students wouldn't like to be snake catchers, but two think it is exciting.

Remember!

• Always give a reason for an opinion.
• Listen to every opinion, also from a quiet person.
• An opinion is not a fact.
