Giving and Receiving Feedback

What are we learning today?

You will learn how to give kind and useful feedback to your classmates. You will also learn how to receive it.

Explanation

Good feedback has two parts.

1. Say something good.
2. Give one suggestion. Be specific: talk about one line, one movement or one face. When you receive feedback, listen, do not argue and say "Thank you". Then try again. When you act, think about the feelings of the characters, such as angry or upset.

Examples

1. "Your voice was angry. That was good!"
2. "Say 'For shame!' louder and with a stronger voice."
3. "Good! Now try to speak more quietly when Maggie (a girl in the story) is crying."

Remember!

• Do not only criticise.
• Do not say "Bad" without a reason.
