Giving a Clear Talk

What are we learning today?

You will learn to share your ideas clearly with a partner, a group or the class. Your topic is a festival.

Explanation

• Plan your talk. Write notes with four headings: Activities, Food, Clothes and Time of year.
• Say the name of the festival first. Then say when it is.
• Say one idea in each sentence.
• Use the word "because" to give a reason.
• Speak slowly and loudly.
• Start with "Today I will tell you about ..." and finish with "Thank you for listening."

2. People wear colourful clothes and eat special food.
