Might, May and Could

You will say that something is possible. You will give opinions about the future.

Explanation

• Might, may and could mean that something is possible.
• You are not sure it will happen.
• Use the base verb after them, without to.
• For a negative sentence, use might not or may not.
• Will is more sure. Might, may and could are less sure.

Examples

1. It might rain tomorrow.
2. We may go to the mountains in summer.
3. My friend could win the competition.

Remember!

• Do not say It might to rain.
• Do not add -s: It might rain.
