What are we learning today?

You will talk about things that happened in the past when the time is not important.

Explanation

• Use have or has and a past participle: I have visited the zoo.
• Regular verbs end in -ed: visited.
• You must learn irregular forms: be - been, see - seen, do - done, eat - eaten.
• Make a question like this: Have you ever been to Almaty?
• Short answers are Yes, I have and No, I haven't.
• Do not say when it happened.

Examples

1. She hasn't seen a polar bear.
2. Have you ever eaten shashlyk? Yes, I have.
3. They have visited a zoo.

Remember!

• Do not use yesterday or last week with the present perfect.
• Say I have gone, not I have went.
