Pronouns and Some / Any

What are we learning today?

You will use pronouns like I, she, they, this and that. You will also use some and any.

Explanation

• Pronouns take the place of names: I, you, he, she, it, we, they.
• Use this and these for things that are near. Use that and those for things that are far.
• Hers, his and mine take the place of a noun: "It's hers."
• Use some in positive sentences. Use any in questions and negative sentences.
• Something, anything and nothing follow the same idea.

Examples

1. That is my mum.
2. These are my blue shoes.
3. Are there any tigers? No, there aren't.
4. I've got something for you.

Remember!

• This and that are for one thing. These and those are for many things.
• Some is for positive sentences. Any is for questions and negatives.
