What are we learning today?

You will learn to write the sentences of a paragraph in a clear order.

Explanation

• The sentences in a paragraph go in the order of time or ideas.
• Use order words: first, then, next, after that, finally, at last.
• Do not use the same order word in every sentence.
• Before you write a scene, plan the people, the place, the time of day, the colours and the action.
• Write the place first, then the people, then the action, then the end.

Examples

1. He climbed the hill. Then he saw a small building.
2. He checked that no one was inside. After that he looked at the things in the hut.
3. Finally he heard someone coming.

• Keep the events in the right order.
• Stay on one topic in a paragraph.
