What are we learning today?

You will learn to give your opinion, say why, and listen to other opinions.

Explanation

• Ask: What does the person think? Why? Do other people think the same?
• Think about advantages and disadvantages. An advantage is good. A disadvantage is bad.
• In a city, an advantage is lots of shops, museums and cinemas. A disadvantage is traffic jams and crowds.
• Always give a reason for your opinion.
• Use these phrases: In my opinion ... because ...; I agree; I don't agree; My partner thinks ...

1. In my opinion the park is the best place because it's quiet.
2. My partner thinks the underground is the fastest.
3. Which is the best way of travelling round a city? Why?
