What are we learning today?

You will learn how to plan, write and check a description of a favourite place.

Explanation

• Use three stages: plan, write and check.
• Plan: make notes. Where is it? Why is it nice? What animals live there?
• Write: use your notes.
• Check: look at adjectives, capital letters and spelling.
• Check "There is a" and "There are" with a partner.

Examples

1. My favourite place is the park near my house.
2. It's got lots of beautiful big trees.
3. Next to it, there's a river.

Remember!

• Do not write without notes.
• Say "There are lots of trees", not "There is lots of trees".
