What are we learning today?

You will use prepositions of place, direction and time. You will choose the right word for each sentence.

Explanation

• Place: in, on, at, next to, behind, under, between.
• Direction: to, into, out of, through, along, up, down, over.
• Time: at a clock time, on a day, in a month or a season, for a time.
• Some words go together in phrases: keep to the path, look at, look for.

Examples

1. I get up at 7 on Monday in winter.
2. We walk through the wood.
3. The road is going down into a valley.

Remember!

• Say "in November" and "on Monday". Do not say "at November" or "in Monday".
• Learn fixed phrases: say "keep to the path", not "keep on the path".
