What are we learning today?

You will spell common words about animals and the countryside correctly. You will also spell comparative adjectives.

Explanation

• Some words are difficult: gazelle, leopard, insect.
• "Wildlife" is one word.
• Say a hard word in syllables: gaz-elle, land-scape.
• Plurals: mouse - mice, wolf - wolves, deer - deer.
• Short adjectives take -er: high - higher.
• Double the last letter in big - bigger and hot - hotter.
• Consonant + y becomes -ier: tidy - tidier.
