What are we learning today?
You will invent a short story. You will show how a character feels.
Explanation
- A good story has a character, a place, a problem, events and an end.
- Use adjectives for feelings: scared, surprised, happy.
- Use action verbs: ran, hid, shouted.
- Use adverbs to make the picture clear: quietly.
- Add details about what you saw, heard and felt.
- Your story can be true or invented.
Examples
- She opened the door quietly and saw a small dog.
- I was walking to school when I heard a voice.
- The things came from a train that stopped here long ago.
Remember!
- Write feelings, not only facts.
- Give your story a problem and an end.
Check yourself
