What are we learning today?

You will use words about accidents, the body and health in simple sentences.

Explanation

• Some verbs go with certain nouns: hurt your back, bang your head, cut your finger, break your leg, crash your car, fall off your bike, slip on ice.
• Words for the body: elbow, ankle, shoulder, neck, knee, wrist, back, chest.
• Some words are about illness: bacteria, symptoms, raw (not cooked), spread, headaches.
• Make a sentence: subject + verb + part of the body.

Examples

1. He broke his leg when he fell off his bike.
2. My ankle hurts. I slipped on ice.
3. Bacteria can spread between different foods.

Remember!

• Use the right verb: you cut your finger, but you crash your car.
