Конспект

What are we learning today?

You will learn action verbs, theatre words and comic words. You will use them in simple sentences.

Explanation

  • Action verbs tell what people do: catch, chase, climb, hide, jump, throw.
  • Some past forms are irregular: catch - caught, throw - threw, hide - hid.
  • Theatre words: stage, seats, roof, audience, performer.
  • Comic words: plot is the story. Inking is drawing in pen. Pencilling is drawing in pencil.
  • Use "a ... is a ..." for a definition.
  • Some nouns end in -er: write - writer, build - builder, perform - performer.

Examples

  1. The thief climbed over a wall and ran away.
  2. A panel is a square section of a comic.
  3. A speech bubble is a shape that contains a character's words.

Remember!
