What are we learning today?

You will learn how to say basic facts about yourself and other people in short sentences.

Explanation

• Use short sentences with a verb.
• About yourself, say: "I play the guitar." or "I can swim."
• About another person, add -s to the verb: "He goes. She likes."
• Ask a question with "Do you ...?"

Examples

1. Do you play an instrument? Yes, I do.
2. My favourite music is hip-hop.
3. Darren goes to Rugby Club. He can run very fast.

Remember!

• He, she and it need a verb with -s: "My friend likes pop."
• Do not say "I am play". Say "I play".
