You will keep a conversation going with questions, news and reactions.

Explanation

• A long conversation is a chain: question, answer, extra detail, new question.
• Start with "How's it going?"
• Share news after "What have you been up to?"
• React to the news.
• Then ask a follow-up question.
• Never answer with one word. Add a detail or ask "What about you?"

Examples

1. What have you been up to? - I won a writing competition last week. - Well done! That's fantastic.
2. Is it serious? - No, not really. He's at home now.
3. I've lost my phone. - What a shame! Where did you last see it?

• Use happy phrases for good news and sad phrases for bad news.
