Конспект
What are we learning today?
You will learn to say your ideas clearly in pair work, group work and class work.
Explanation
- Say one idea in one sentence.
- Use a full sentence, not one word.
- Give a reason when you can. Use "because".
- Use "but" to show a contrast.
- Speak slowly and stress the key words.
- To talk about a partner, use "has" with he or she.
Examples
- I have never eaten a snake. What about you?
- I have swum in a lake but I have never swum in the sea.
- I wouldn't like to be a snake catcher because I'm frightened of snakes.
Remember!
- Use full sentences and add a reason.
- Say "Anna has", not "Anna have".
- Say "I disagree" when you do not agree.
Check yourself
- Join the sentences with "but": "I have been to a lake. I have never been to the sea."
- Complete: "I wouldn't like to be a pilot ___ I'm afraid of flying."
