Retelling a Story

What are we learning today?

You will learn to retell a longer story in the right order.

Explanation

• When you retell a story, keep the order of the events.
• Use he or she, not "I".
• Use order words: first, then, after that, finally.
• You can also say: "He said that ..."

Here is Riley's day. He gets up at 6 am. He cleans the chicken house and has breakfast. His school is 300 km away. So he studies at home on his laptop. The lesson is half an hour.

Examples

1. Riley gets up at 6 and cleans the chicken house. Then he has breakfast.
2. First, he turns on his laptop. After that, he meets his class online.
3. Finally, they do a quiz.
