Setting a Learning Goal

What are we learning today?

You will use feedback to write a small, clear goal for your learning.

Explanation

• A goal is a small, clear step.
• Read the unit aims. They start with "I can ...".
• Use a checklist. Every NO is a goal.
• Count your mistakes in a review. Choose one topic with the most mistakes.
• Write a goal with a verb, a task and a date.
• After a week, check it again.

Examples

1. I will check who, which and where every day for 5 days.
2. I will write one thank-you email to my granny by Friday.

Remember!

• Do not make a goal too big, like "speak perfectly".
• Always write a date.
