What are we learning today?

You will learn how to follow a story. You will find who, where, when and what happened.

Explanation

A story has a time order.

• Ask: Who? Where? When?
• Ask: What happened first, next and at the end?
• Notice the connections between people. Laura is eighteen. She arrived in Goa two weeks ago. In the first week she had Hindi classes. Now she helps in an orphanage with English, reading, Maths and lunch.

Examples

1. "Last summer I was in the train which goes from Barcelona to Madrid."
2. "When I arrived two weeks ago, the project manager was waiting for me at the airport."
3. A boy says: "If I pass my exams, my parents will take me for a surfing holiday."

Remember!

• Keep the order of events.
• Do not mix up the people, the place and the time.
