Describing in Writing

What are we learning today?

You will learn to describe a person, a place or an object in writing.

Explanation

• Give facts about who, where or what.
• Write one fact in each sentence.
• Use patterns: There is, There are, It's got, He can, We wear.
• Add adjectives, for example small, fantastic, fast and grey.

Examples

1. It's a small school but there are about 40 teachers.
2. He can run very fast.
3. My classroom is bright. There are 25 desks and a big window.

Remember!

• Use "There are" with many things.
• Write full sentences, not only adjectives.
• Do not mix facts about two places.
