Time, Place and Direction Words

What are we learning today?

You will learn small words that tell us when, where and how we go.

Explanation

• Time: at 9 o'clock, on Monday, in May, in the afternoon.
• Do not use a small word with yesterday.
• Place: in the garden, on the grass, against the wall.
• Place: next to the garage, opposite the park, in front of the house.
• Direction: across the harbour, up the escalator, from my flat to the station.
• Transport: by bus, by train, on foot.

Examples

1. I get up at 7 o'clock on Monday.
2. His house is opposite the skate park.
3. I went up the escalator to my school.

Remember!

• Say "by bus", not "in the bus".
• Say "on Monday", not "at Monday".
