Giving Feedback to a Partner

What are we learning today?

You will learn how to answer your partner and give short, helpful feedback.

Explanation

• In a guessing game, one student describes a place. The partner guesses.
• If the guess is right, say: "Yes, that's right!"
• If it is wrong, say: "Almost, but it's not a cathedral." Then give a hint.
• Say what was good and what to improve.
• Be kind, specific and short.

Examples

1. "It's a place where you can borrow books." "A library?" "Yes, that's right!"
2. "It's a person who works in a post office."
3. "Good pronunciation! Next time try a full sentence."

Remember!

• Use who, where and which in descriptions.
• Do not interrupt your partner.
