What are we learning today?

You will learn how to read about other countries. You will compare them with your country in a polite way.

Explanation

• Read the text.
• Find one new fact.
• Compare it with your country.
• Use: In my country ... but in ... they ...
• Use: I think it is interesting because ...
• Be polite: That's different from my country, but it's interesting.

Examples

1. Yuki is from Japan. She's Japanese.
2. In a tropical climate people eat a lot of rice.
3. In Kazakhstan we eat meat, and in Japan they eat a lot of fish.

Remember!

• Give a reason. Do not only say "It is bad".
• Country and nationality are different words. Japan is a country. Japanese is a nationality.
• Use a fact from the text when you compare.
