What are we learning today?

You will use a vocabulary bank and a dictionary to check the meaning of words and learn more.

Explanation

• A vocabulary bank is a page of words with tasks.
• After an exercise, go to the vocabulary bank for more words.
• An online dictionary gives you pronunciation and examples.
• Write the word with its meaning.
• Spell the word correctly. Learn the spelling together with the meaning.
• Write your own sentence with a new word. This helps you remember it.

Examples

1. A vocabulary bank can have a list of countryside words: valley, wood, river bank.
2. You do not know "hedge". You check it in a dictionary. It is a line of bushes round a field.
3. A task can ask: which animal is the fastest?
