Explanation

• Everyone can have a different hero.
• Listen to the reason for a choice. Do not say the choice is wrong.
• Show that you understand. Then say your own opinion.
• Always add a reason with because.
• Use a contrast word like although or but.

Examples

1. Although most people have got heroes like Nelson Mandela, my hero is my granddad.
2. I understand why you chose a footballer, but my hero is my grandmother because she worked hard.
3. A teacher can be a hero because her lessons are really interesting.
