Giving Opinions with Reasons

What are we learning today?

You will say what you think and explain why. You will use "because" and "so".

Explanation

• Say your opinion and then a reason.
• Pattern: I think ... because ...
• "Because" gives a reason.
• "So" gives a result.
• Use opinion adjectives: interesting, boring, useful, difficult.

Examples

1. I think cheating is bad because it is not fair.
2. My best subject is Biology because it's interesting.
3. I like drawing, so I go to the art club.

Remember!

• Do not say only "I like it". Add a reason.
• Use a full sentence after "because".
• An opinion is not a fact.
