What are we learning today?

You will learn to plan, write and check a short essay.

Explanation

• PLAN: choose a title and make notes. First introduce the topic. Then give your first opinion. Then give other people's opinion. Finish with a prediction.
• WRITE: use phrases like "Some people think that ..." and "Others say that ...". Use "In my opinion, ..." and "I'm sure that ...".
• Use sequencing words: Firstly, Secondly, However, In conclusion.
• CHECK: do you have the information, the language and the sequencing words? Check spelling and full stops.

Examples

1. Title: The future of TV.
2. Some people think we will watch less TV. Others say we will have big screens on the wall.
3. In conclusion, TV will change a lot.
