What are we learning today?

You will learn how to solve a problem in a group. You will use speaking and listening to find a good idea together.

Explanation

• A group can solve a neighbourhood problem when everyone helps.
• First, name the problem.
• Then each person gives an idea.
• Choose the best idea together.
• Then share the jobs.
• Listen to the others.
• Use these phrases: Let's ..., Shall we ...?, I'll ..., What about ...?

Examples

1. Some empty land is untidy and full of rubbish. If we work together, we can change it into a garden for everyone.
2. Our class can clean the yard. I'll bring bags, you bring gloves.
3. Community gardens started in New York. There are more than 600 there now.
