What are we learning today?

You will ask simple questions to get information about a story.

Explanation

• The question word shows what you want to know.
• Who is for a person. What is for a thing.
• Where is for a place. When is for time.
• Why is for a reason. How is for a way.
• Put the question word first, then was or did, then the subject.
• Use "did" in past questions: Where did Watson go?

Examples

1. Who is the secret man?
2. Where did Watson find the note?
3. Was the stranger in the hut?

Remember!

• Do not forget "did" in past questions.
• Say "Where did Watson sit?", not "Where Watson sat?"
