What are we learning today?

You will use the right pronouns instead of nouns.

Explanation

• Subject pronouns come before the verb: I, you, he, she, it, we, they.
• Object pronouns come after the verb: me, you, him, her, it, us, them.
• Pronouns replace nouns, so you do not say the same word again.
• Use "something" and "anything": I need something. I don't need anything. "Nothing" means not anything.
• Use "some" in yes sentences and "any" in no sentences: I have some books. I don't have any pens.
• "This" and "these" are for things that are near. "That" and "those" are for things that are far.

Examples

1. I like Zara. I like her.
2. I love Maths lessons. I love them.
3. Our teacher gives us homework.

Remember!

• After a verb, use "me, him, her, us, them".
• Use "it" for things, not for people.
