What are we learning today?

You will learn to find exact information in a short text on your own.

Explanation

• Look for numbers, names and key words.
• Follow these steps: read the question word, find the key word, find it in the text, read around it, write a short answer.
• Do not read the whole text for one number.
• Answer from the text, not from what you already know.
• Check any calculation.

Examples

1. In a city there are about 1,000,000 bicycles. That is four times the number of cars.
2. At 12, children take a test to show they can cycle safely.
3. There is around 14,000 km of railway in Kazakhstan.
