What are we learning today?

You will learn to share opinions and compare what different people think.

Explanation

• Ask people for their opinions. Then compare and report them.
• Compare cities. Ask: "Are there things in your town that are the same?"
• Talk about advantages and disadvantages of living in a big city.
• Useful phrases: "Some people think ..., others say ..." and "In my country ..."
• Give a reason with because. Use facts.
• Many people have different views.

Examples

1. There are a lot of superstitions in my country.
2. Some people believe that magpies bring good or bad luck.
3. In my opinion, Amsterdam is bike-friendly, but in Astana it is very cold for cycling in winter.
